Details On AEW’s New Signing Strategy Revealed? AEW

A top name has given a potential insight into the signing strategy that AEW are employing when it comes to talent becoming All Elite.

Jim Ross made the comment when he was talking about Trinity Fatu (formerly WWE’s Naomi) joining IMPACT Wrestling, something that he considered a “surprise”.

Speaking on the Grilling JR podcast, the WWE Hall of Famer revealed:

“I was surprised she went there, not because I thought she was coming to work for AEW, but that wouldn’t have been a bad landing spot for her as to the ongoing depth initiative, getting more talent that can work and that has some experience, and adding a piece here and a piece there to continue to build that division.”

Whereas WWE’s recent focus has included the NIL program, bringing elite-level college athletes to the company and shaping them into the company wrestlers of the future, along with the occasional signing of prominent wrestling names, it appears that AEW are interested in adding depth to their roster through existing experience.
