Details On CM Punk Visiting The IMPACT Wrestling TV Taping Revealed AEW

A new report has revealed details on CM Punk visiting the IMPACT Wrestling TV taping in Chicago.

Last Monday, CM Punk set the wrestling world ablaze when he visited the WWE Raw television taping at the Allstate Arena in Chicago. It was the first time that he was seen backstage at WWE in nine years.

Punk allegedly spoke with several names backstage including The Miz and Triple H, who he has had issues with in the past, before being asked to leave at the request of Vince McMahon.

Then on Saturday, Punk made his way to the IMPACT Wrestling television taping in Chicago to witness Trinity Fatu’s in-ring debut for the company. This marked his first time at a show for the promotion since 2004.

Fightful Select (subscription required) has provided an update on his visit, noting that Punk played Uno with an IMPACT talent during his time backstage. The report also notes that the former AEW World Champion spoke with over a dozen IMPACT stars, and exchanged pleasantries while he was there.

Everyone Fightful spoke to said that Punk was pleasant, in a good mood and happy to be there, while also having kind words for a couple of wrestlers that he met there.

CM Punk is reportedly set to make his return to All Elite Wrestling for the debut of the upcoming new Saturday show for the promotion titled, “AEW Collision,” on June 17.
