Some details have come to light regarding the contracts that WWE has signed former EVOLVE talents to which are a little different to the usual.
As reported by Mike Johnson of PWInsider, some of the talents that WWE has signed lately are contracted to normal long-term WWE developmental deals to be part of the NXT setup, whereas some signed six-month deals akin to a trial period of sorts.
Johnson said he didn’t know which talents had been signed to which deals, and added that the six-month contracts are lower paying.
The EVOLVE names that WWE signed are Josh Briggs, Joe Gacy, Brandi Lauren, Leon Ruff, Anthony Greene, Curt Stallion and referee Jake Clemons.
As of the latest word, no further signings of EVOLVE talents are expected to be made right now. WWE purchased the promotion in July.
WWE has, however, bumped into some issues while trying to trademark ‘EVOLVE’, which you can read more about at this link.
