Details On Fans Invited To NXT TakeOver 31 Revealed

Last night at NXT TakeOver 31, WWE unveiled the “Capitol Wrestling Center”, which is basically NXT’s version of the ThunderDome, although it features real fans as well as virtual fans on screens.

Taking to Twitter, Gary Cassidy of Inside The Ropes has revealed some interesting details about the protocol and tests that took place to allow fans to be in attendance for last night’s TakeOver show:

A few notes I’ve been told from individuals in attendance at #NXTTakeOver

– Only around 30 ‘external’ fans (friends & family) were allowed in

– Everyone was tested, tests took 25-30 mins to give a result

– Each ‘pod’ had hand sanitiser & bottled water

– Standing was mandatory

The majority of this report has been corroborated by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, who had the following to say last night regarding the fans in attendance at the Performance Center for TakeOver 31:

Fightful can confirm that NXT Takeover quickly reached capacity, and a number of people were informed of this before the show, and couldn’t attend. However, it appears there will be additional opportunities to attend in coming weeks.

Each spectator pod has about ten chairs, over a dozen water bottles, paper towels and hand sanitizer. They are surrounded with plexiglass and fencing

Shortly before the show, fans had their chairs taken away.

It’s great to hear that NXT is taking the maximum precautions needed to allow fans back into shows. While the Capitol Wrestling Center migt take some time for fans to get used to, it is certainly the safest way of having fans back at shows.
