Details On What WWE Has Planned For Extreme Rules ‘Swamp Fight’

Later this month at Extreme Rules, WWE is going to be putting on the first-ever ‘Swamp Match’ between Universal Champion Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt. The match will not be for the title.

Many have speculated that WWE is putting on this cinematic match to extend the Strowman and Wyatt feud, with SmackDown short of any real top contenders to face Strowman if Wyatt loses once again.

The Firefly Fun House match at WrestleMania reportedly had a lot of influence from Bray Wyatt and was rather good, so let’s hope WWE shows the same faith in his this time and lets him have a say on the match.

While Wyatt’s influence remains to be seen, we do now have some more details on what to expect from the ‘Swamp Match’ at Extreme Rules, courtesy of a report from WrestlingInc.

WrestlingInc is reporting that WWE stunt coordinator Ellis Edwards has been brought in to help with some of the spots that will be taking place in the match that is set to be taped next week:

“Wrestling Inc. has learned that WWE stunt coordinator Ellis Edwards is involved with the match. Edwards has been doing stunt work in pro wrestling dating back to WCW in the 1990s.

“Ellis is said to be involved with several stunts for this shoot. I was told that not every stunt will be big, but he is there for safety and to explain how everything should happen in a safe manner.”

The site also reports that Edwards has worked closely with Strowman before on some rather cool moments:

“Ellis worked with Strowman on the ring collapse with The Big Show in 2017, as well as the angle of Strowman turning over the ambulance with Roman Reigns”.
