Some details have been revealed regarding how last year’s WWE women’s Royal Rumble match was put together and who had a hand in doing so.
As per Fightful Select, Tyson Kidd and Adam Pearce were the main producers who put the match together, along with input from the women involved.
The match was said to be pre-written and worked out, but there wasn’t a full-on rehearsal, just a “light run through”.
It was added that the match was effectively split into two parts, and the roster and producers talked it through the night prior for about an hour or two.
Last year’s Rumble was won by Charlotte Flair who last eliminated Shayna Baszler before going on to WrestleMania to win the NXT Championship from Rhea Ripley in the best match of the event.
The confirmed entrants so far for this year’s women’s Royal Rumble are Bayley, Nia Jax, Charlotte Flair, Bianca Belair, Dana Brooke and Mandy Rose.
