Details On Plans For Brand New WWE Championships Revealed WWE

More information has emerged about the future of the Crown Jewel Championship recently announced by WWE CCO Triple H.

After having been announced at WWE Bad Blood, there has been more information about the plans for the WWE Crown Jewel Championship.

As part of the announcement it was confirmed that at Crown Jewel, WWE Champion Cody Rhodes will face World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER, and WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax will face Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan.

The winners of those matches will be crowned the first ever Crown Jewel Champions, and now more info has emerged on what that’ll actually mean beyond Crown Jewel itself.

On the latest episode of WrestleVotes Radio, it was reported that indications suggest the Crown Jewel Championships are not planned to be full-time titles that’ll appear on TV, nor will they be defended throughout the year.

Rather comparing them more to the King and the Queen of the Ring tournament winners, it is likely to be celebrated in Saudi Arabia and “then we move on”.

Triple H’s wording during the announcement did seem to suggest it would become an annual tradition at each Crown Jewel event going forward.

WrestleVotes said:

“They (WWE’s Saudi Arabian partners) are going to have requests for WWE of things that they want to see happen.

“And this Crown Jewel Championship was something that came to them as an idea, and WWE did a great way of figuring out a way to make it work.”

Crown Jewel takes place in Riyadh on November 2.

As of now, those champion vs champion matches are the only two matches announced.
