More Details On Top WWE Star’s Upcoming Absence WWE

Further details have been revealed regarding Drew McIntyre’s upcoming role in the new Dave Bautista film, The Killer’s Game.

According to PWInsider, McIntyre was approached to take part in the movie, with the 38-year-old asking and being granted permission to take time off next week to film the role.

This will see McIntyre miss next week’s Raw from Atlanta, GA, something the two-time WWE Champion himself stated on this week’s Raw (July 10), however, PWInsider notes that it is currently unclear whether McIntyre will miss any further upcoming dates as well.

McIntyre joins a star-studded cast for the action-comedy including the aforementioned Bautista, Ice Cube, Ben Kingsley and Sofia Boutella.

The Scottish Warrior becomes the latest Raw star to take a major acting role, with current World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins notably taking time off throughout May to film his role in the upcoming 2024 Marvel blockbuster Captain America: Brave New World.

Despite concerns at the time that this would equate to a part-time schedule of sorts for Rollins, he has gone on to compete at near-enough every WWE event since becoming World Heavyweight Champion at May 27’s Night of Champions event, including even an episode of NXT.

There was reportedly a backstage argument following this past Monday’s Raw main event which was Rollins, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn vs Judgment Day – to find out more on the incident click here.
