Details have been revealed for the 2022 WWE Tribute to the Troops special.
The special will air on Saturday, December 17 on FOX with the time slot dependent on the local market.
The event was taped in Indianapolis. This year’s edition is branded as the 20th anniversary of the event and features the following matches:
Drew McIntyre & Sheamus & Ricochet vs. Imperium
Ronda Rousey & Shanya Baszler vs. Tamina & Emma
Braun Strowman vs. LA Knight.
WWE Tribute to the Troops has been broadcast every year since December 2003, with the exception of 2019.
The special started off as a United Service Organizations tour, with events put together by WWE and performed for American troops stationed in the Middle East.
Since moving to domestic locations in 2010, the WWE Tribute to the Troops event has continued to celebrate military servicemen and women in the United States.
The event has led to WWE being recognized by the United Service Organizations, The Army and Air Force Exchange Program and the G.I. Combat Film Festival.
This will be the first WWE Tribute to the Troops special under Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque’s creative management.
