Tonight’s WWE Bad Blood 2024 event kicked off with Drew McIntyre facing CM Punk in a Hell in a Cell match to start the show.
The fiery feud extended into tonight’s third match between the two stars who have been dueling since January.
The match was as brutal and bloody as both Drew McIntyre and CM Punk vowed it would be as the first match of the night set a high bar.
After a series of stunning spots including both going through a table at ringside (between the ring and the cell itself), the final moments of the match came back around to the talisman that has run throughout the storyline.
Drew ended up dumping out a small bag to reveal that it was filled with beads, identical to those that comprised the famed bracelet from their feud, and poured them on Punk.
But when McIntyre would attempt a Claymore, Punk would move out of the way and land on the steel steps inside in the ring.
In the end, CM Punk would wrap his own knee in a chain before shoving a handful of the aforementioned beads in the mouth of McIntyre, then hitting him with one more GTS.
CM Punk won the Hell in a Cell match to kick off tonight’s WWE Bad Blood premium live event with four matches still to come.
After the match, CM Punk ‘collapsed’ on his way up the entrance ramp, limping before tipping over. He would go on to accept medical treatment briefly before waving them off and leaving on his own power, saying he wanted to call his wife, AJ Lee.
