The internet machine was abuzz this morning following Dean Ambrose posting a well-produced video on his Twitter account announcing his return to his old indy name Jon Moxley. The video depicted Moxley breaking out of a literal prison in what served as a clear metaphor for the time he spent in WWE.
It was clear from this video, which also featured Moxley training, including some shots of him in a ring, that he would not be taking a CM Punk-like sabbatical from the business but rather he is raring to go under his new/old persona.
Eagle-eyed viewers spotted some major hints in the video as to what Moxley’s next move might be. Now, this could be a case of reading far too much into something but hey, it’s fun to speculate.

Towards the end of the video, Ambrose is shown walking past two dice, with the numbers 2 and 5 on them. As most people are no doubt aware, AEW’s debut show Double Or Nothing is set for May 25th in Las Vegas. Interestingly, and probably not coincidentally, dice have been used in the promotional materials for the Vegas event.
And finally, AEW Executive Vice President Cody was one of the many people who “liked” the video on Twitter, which is another minor happening (Cody likes lots of things on Twitter) that nevertheless is likely to get fans speculating.
