It was announced that on tonight’s episode of Monday Night Raw, WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle will be revealing his opponent for his ‘farewell match’ at WrestleMania 35.
Since Angle’s announcement that he will be retiring after the flagship show in just three weeks, many WWE superstars have taken to social media to challenge the Olympic Gold Medalist, including Shelton Benjamin and NXT’s Matt Riddle.
Shelton, along with Charlie Haas was a former ally of Kurt in his ‘Team Angle’ faction. Shelton took to Instagram to declare his interest in being the man to retire Angle:

Benjamin made his return to Raw last week, attacking Seth Rollins as hype for the Seth’s WrestleMania match with Brock Lesnar. Benjamin’s recent resurgence might not stop there, as Angle seemingly accepted his former friend’s challenge on Twitter.

WWE has not acknowledged that Angle has accepted the challenge, so the former Raw General Manager might just be trying to create some hype for his announcement, but Raw tonight will likely give us more of an insight into Kurt’s WrestleMania opponent, in what will be his final match.
