Did Stephanie McMahon Know About Vince McMahon Allegations Before Taking WWE Leave Of Absence? WWE

Since the news about the Vince McMahon allegations came out yesterday, people have wondered about Stephanie McMahon’s knowledge of the situation.

It has been alleged that Vince came to an agreement to pay a “hush pact” of $3 million to an ex-employee he’s believed to have had an affair with which bars her from talking about their relationship.

Stephanie announced on May 19 that she was taking a leave of absence from the company. The investigation into the allegations involving her father Vince began in April.

To answer the question about Stephanie, the answer is yes, she did know about the investigation because she was (and still is) on the board of directors and they were informed of it.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer explained:

“The investigation is being headed by Man Jit Singh, who is a member of the board of directors, and the McMahon family members are not involved.

“The board of directors started getting this information a couple of months ago. They got the information before Stephanie quit. So Stephanie would have known about this before she quit. Whether this is tied in or not (to her decision to leave), we do not know.

“But the timing becomes very very interesting because of her leaving, and then of her being buried on the way out. And when all of these stories broke – both her leaving, and her being buried later when that came out a couple of weeks later, we kept saying there’s more (to the story).

“Why would Vince bury her? And I still don’t have an answer as to why. But this does add an element, another dynamic of everything that was going on while this was going on.”
