Raw Star Reveals Difference In CM Punk When AJ Lee Is Around In WWE

A WWE Raw star has revealed the difference she’s noticed in CM Punk when his wife AJ Lee is around in the company.

After a decade away from WWE and pro wrestling as a whole, AJ Lee made her return to WWE on the September 5 episode of SmackDown – providing backup to her husband CM Punk in his feud with Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch.

With AJ now back as a member of the WWE roster once again, along with Punk – who himself spent nine years away from the company between 2014-2023 – the pair look set to make up for lost time and add to their Hall of Fame worthy careers.

Speaking with Going Ringside, WWE’s Roxanne Perez referred to AJ Lee as one of her “biggest inspirations” to become a wrestler:

“Yeah, she was definitely the person that made me realize that it was possible for me to become a WWE superstar. One of my biggest inspirations for sure.”

Perez would then be asked what it’s like to have both AJ and Punk around in WWE, with The Judgment Day member sharing wholesome details of how AJ’s return has effected Punk behind the scenes.

Perez explained:

“It’s been awesome having them around in the locker room. You could definitely see the change in Punk’s energy and overall happiness when she’s around it’s so cute and it’s awesome to see.

“I grew up watching them, the storylines that they created were some of favourites to watch growing up. So to now have them there and be people that I can turn to whenever I need advice or help or anything, yeah they’re amazing.”

AJ Lee last appeared on WWE TV at Survivor Series on November 29, getting the win for her team inside WarGames by forcing Becky Lynch to submit to the Black Widow.
