‘Discussions’ Regarding Popular WWE NXT Star’s Main Roster Future

There have reportedly long been ‘discussions’ regarding the WWE main roster future of a popular absent NXT star.

Former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion Gigi Dolin has been a mainstay of the NXT brand since the brand’s move to NXT 2.0 back in September 2021.

Recently, Gigi has been absent from NXT television, with Fightful Select confirming that she’s currently sidelined with a serious knee injury.

In regards to Gigi’s future, Fightful Select (subscription required) has noted that there have long been discussions in regards to her potential future on the main roster.

Gigi has had multiple looks by the company on episodes of Main Event over the past year, as well as her appearing on two episodes of SmackDown during the Women’s Tag Team Championship Tournament back in 2o22.

Gigi has not competed since the March 12 episode of NXT, where she lost to Arianna Grace, forcing her to undergo a makeover at the hands of Grace.

The storyline had various vignettes airing on NXT TV before it was ultimately scrapped.
