Dixie Carter is reportedly slated to make her return to IMPACT Wrestling this weekend.
Per ESPN’s Marc Raimondi, the former TNA President will make an appearance at Slammiversary on Sunday (June 19), exactly 20 years after the first TNA live event.
Raimondi took to Twitter to note:
Former TNA president Dixie Carter will be making an appearance Sunday at Impact Wrestling’s Slammiversary pay-per-view event, sources close to the promotion told ESPN. Impact is celebrating its 20-year anniversary this weekend.
Carter was appointed president of TNA Entertainment in early 2003 and remained in the position until 2016, when Billy Corgan took over the role and Carter became chairwoman. Carter resigned from this position in 2017 after Anthem Sports and Entertainment purchased a majority stake in TNA, leaving Carter as a minority shareholder until her departure later that year. TNA was rebranded as IMPACT Wrestling around this time.
Carter also appeared on TNA TV, notably reigning as an onscreen authority figure starting in 2010.
IMPACT has yet to officially confirm Carter’s upcoming appearance.
