Dominik Mysterio Discusses Finding His ‘Comfortable Space’ In Prison WWE

Dominik Mysterio has discussed finding his “comfortable space” in prison.

Since being arrested on Christmas Eve 2022 and spending time in prison, The Judgment Day’s Dominik Mysterio has been a different man and embraced the rough edge that prison can give you.

Speaking with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp ahead of the WWE Royal Rumble 2023 event, Dom discussed the stereotypes he faces now that he has spent time in prison.

On how he sometimes care what people think but only if Rhea Ripley tells him to, Mysterio said:

“People look at me differently. Especially because of the way I dress and the long hair. People might think that I don’t care, but sometimes I do, but only when mami tells me I should. Other than that, I really don’t.”

Opening up on how he found his “comfortable space” in prison and feeling that he has to be wherever Rhea is, Dom said:

“Nobody wants to be [in jail] but once you get into a comfortable space where it’s like, you can call your own shots in there, man, it doesn’t matter where you are, right? For me at this point, I feel like wherever mami is, I have to be.”

When asked if he had to crack someone in the head in prison to establish dominance, Dominik answered:

“You find the biggest guy in there and you do what you got to do.”

Dominik Mysterio has challenged his father Rey Mysterio to a match at WrestleMania 39, but Rey has refused to fight his son since his heel turn last September. The elder Mysterio will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2023.
