Dominik Mysterio has responded to the positive crowd reactions he’s been receiving from WWE fans in recent times.
Over the past year especially, WWE fans have taken to Dominik Mysterio despite his very heel-like behavior, often cheering him over the usual fan favorites.
In recent months, Mysterio has been leaning more and more into this and even ended up feuding with other heels like Rusev.
Mysterio has now commented on the positive crowd reactions he’s been receiving and whether he would change his personality because of the crowd response.
Speaking on The Collection, he said:
“I didn’t change anything about myself, and I wasn’t gonna change anything of what I was currently doing.
“I’m still gonna be the s**t-heel that I am, and if people like it, they like it. Sometimes you’ve gotta love a bad guy.”

Why WWE Fans Cheer Dominik Mysterio
Despite Dominik Mysterio being a heel since he joined Judgment Day in 2022, recent times have seen WWE fans vocally support him.
The major starting point for this was WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas in April 2025, where he won the Intercontinental Championship to the joy of the fans in attendance.
Since then, a lot of other audiences have followed suit, with Mysterio’s heel antics becoming somewhat endearing – especially when his actions are being done towards other heels, like we saw with Rusev a few months back.
