Dominik Mysterio Reveals Goal For John Cena WWE Raw Boston Face Off WWE

Dominik Mysterio has revealed what his goal was for his in-ring face off with John Cena during this past Monday’s WWE Raw in Boston, MA.

The November 10 episode of WWE Raw was a historic one for John Cena, with the 17-time world champion making his final WWE appearance in front of his home crowd at the TD Garden.

Not only was it Cena’s last appearance in Boston, and his fourth-to-last date on his WWE farewell tour, Cena added another major accolade to his glittering résumé during the show – defeating Dominik Mysterio to win the only major WWE championship he had yet to win throughout his over two decade career: the Intercontinental Championship.

The win finally made Cena a Grand Slam Champion in WWE, but it also gave Dominik Mysterio a memorable moment for his own career – being one of the “Greatest of all Time’s” final opponents in the company.

Speaking with the Towers of Power Pro Wrestling Podcast, Mysterio was asked how he prepared for his segment with Cena and Triple H beforehand in front of a raucous Boston crowd.

Revealing what his goal for the face-off was, Mysterio said:

“For me it wasn’t even (about) preparing it was just making that moment about me. Because I knew I was going to be in there with obviously John Cena and Triple H in Boston, TD Garden.

“Everything was perfectly in place for John Cena and it was his night, so I went out there I made sure it was about me.”

Mysterio was then asked if the booing from the crowd fazed him at all, to which he said:

“No that doesn’t get to me at all because that’s the thing about being booed, you’ve got to embrace it. Some people don’t like it but as long as you’re getting some noise out of people that’s all that matters.”
