Dominik Mysterio Reveals Crazy Original Plan For WWE SummerSlam 2005 Custody Match

Dominik Mysterio has revealed the crazy scrapped plans for one of his earliest appearances in WWE at SummerSlam 2005.

With the match centering around the custody of Dominik Mysterio. Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio would fight it out in a ladder match that can be seen, in full, below this news story.

Dominik Mysterio would be safe behind the barriers for most of the match, there were other plans, however, that would have seen the young Mysterio much closer to the action.

Speaking on the subject during an appearance on the Impaulsive podcast, Mysterio revealed the scrapped plans, saying:

“Did you hear what they originally wanted to do with me?

“They wanted to hang me from a cage. Not even from a cage, they wanted to just actually hang me. Like on a waist thing and just like have me dangle there.”

Logan Paul suggested it would be like a Money in the Bank briefcase being suspended high about the ring with Mysterio going on to confirm:

“Yeah, but a kid. Me!”

In the end, a change was made to proceedings that would see a briefcase suspended above the ring instead of Dominik Mysterio.

During the interview, Mysterio would also reveal how his real-life wife reacted to Rhea Ripley licking him on the face.

Ripley has recently shared her thoughts on Mysterio’s betrayal at WWE SummerSlam, revealing that she cannot ‘fully hate’ him.
