Dominik Mysterio Addresses Explicit Content On WWE Raw After Netflix Move WWE

WWE Raw moves to the streaming platform Netflix in January 2025 and Dominik Mysterio has shared his thoughts on fan expectations.

The shift to streaming for WWE Raw will see John Cena have a ‘heavy presence‘ in the initial months of the launch as he embarks on his retirement year.

With WWE able to push the envelope with its content on Netflix, Dominik Mysterio opened up on expectations during an appearance on the Impaulsive podcast, saying:

“I think people are going to expect us to go in there and first episode of RAW on Netflix, people are going to expect blood and tables everywhere. T*tties. Edge and Lita where they had the live sex show. I’m sure people are going to expect that.

“I feel, in order for stuff like that to be special and meaningful, you can’t have it all the time.”

He would go on to discuss how more mature content should be a surprise instead of the norm, stating:

“It’s got to come like an RKO out of nowhere. You don’t expect it and then it’s, Boom! T*t!

“I don’t know if it’s necessarily going to edge up. I think it’s going to take time to edge up.

“I think we’re going to gradually stay the same and then slowly start testing our boundaries.”

CM Punk recently discussed the move to Netflix and stated that he didn’t want to see people ‘use Netflix as a crutch to say the F word.’

Explaining his point further, Punk stated that ‘if everybody swears, it doesn’t mean anything’.

Triple H has previously discussed Netflix as a ‘completely different animal‘ for WWE, noting that difference in how commercials work and how Fox, as an example, bleep out audio.

The WWE CCO also commented on a potential viewership drop when the show moves to Netflix from traditional television.
