The dastardly Don Callis has spoken out in a new interview with Jim Ross, revealing why he turned on top AEW star, Kenny Omega.
Don Callis described being essentially a part of Kenny Omega’s family, however saying that after a familial relationship of over twenty-five years, he determined that “nothing works”.
Believing that Kenny Omega chose his friends, The Young Bucks and Hangman Adam Page over his ‘family’ in Callis, he is disappointed in Kenny for allowing his fun-loving friends to drag him down.
Callis elaborated while he has nothing against the Young Bucks and Hangman, he does have something against the way that their fun loving nature pulls down the ‘Einstein’ level genius of Kenny Omega.
Describing every time he has been there to support Omega, to leverage his relationships and talents to uplift Omega and instead, Kenny prefers to be ‘one of the three stooges’, doing trios matches.
When Ross countered that it didn’t justify stabbing Omega in the head, Callis said of his evil actions on a recent edition of AEW Dynamite:
“Sometimes, Jim, toxic relationships require extreme measures. If I had slapped Kenny in the face, he would have still come back to me and try to leech off my intellect and to trigger me with emotional words and things.
“I had to do something for his own good. And for the good of what’s left for our family, Jim Ross, I had to do something, as you say, stab him in the face. I had to do something there could be no coming back from. That’s the reality.”
Elsewhere in the video, Callis also goes on to bring up Will Ospreay, perhaps foreshadowing another important upcoming battle for Omega?

Callis may consider Omega’s dalliances with The Elite to be beneath him but a faction that isn’t afraid to bring the violence to the Elite is the Blackpool Combat Club.
The Blackpool Combat Club (Claudio Castagnoli, Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta and Bryan Danielson) will be taking on the recently reunited team of The Elite featuring Hangman Adam Page (Young Bucks, Nick and Matt Jackson and Kenny Omega rounding out the team).
