During the latest episode of IMPACT Wrestling, Don Callis, who has been appearing on AEW TV for several months now was “fired”.
Callis had fired Sami Callihan in storyline, but the twist is that Anthem had reinstated Callihan and fired Callis instead.
In real life, Don Callis has been transitioning out of his role as a Vice President with IMPACT since his deal officially came to an end this past April.
As part of the announcement, Callis will be cornering Kenny Omega in an IMPACT World Title match against Callihan at Slammiversary next month.
Slammiversary will take place on July 17, and an Ultimate X match for the X-Division Title has also been announced.
