Following his shocking betrayal of long-time friend Kenny Omega at the conclusion of the May 10 AEW Dynamite, the reasoning behind Don Callis’ actions have been up in the air.
However, it seems as if we won’t have long to wait before getting an actual explanation from the man himself as it was announced during the May 13 AEW Rampage that Callis will address the back-stabbing on the upcoming edition of AEW Dynamite on May 17 in Austin, Texas.
Given the physicality of Omega’s steel cage match with Moxley, it is unclear whether he himself will be in attendance to confront Callis.
Elsewhere on the May 17 show there will be matches involving two of the four pillars of AEW.
‘Jungle Boy’ Jack Perry is set to take on La Faccion Ingobernables’ Rush, whilst Sammy Guevara will be in action against a currently unspecified opponent.
Also announced for the show is a Falls Count Anywhere match between new AEW signee Roderick Strong and Chris Jericho, a trios tag match between The Outcasts and Britt Baker, Hikaru Shida & Jamie Hayter, as well as a singles bout between ‘Switchblade’ Jay White and Ricky Starks.
