Wrestling fans are longing to see Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi step into a ring together once again. It has been almost three years since their last match in New Japan Pro Wrestling and now it seems the match is being teased again.
Appearing on IMPACT Wrestling, Omega and Callis stood in the middle of the ring for a promo. Callis got worked up, saying Omega was bigger than many of the biggest names in wrestling history. The final name he mentioned? Kota Ibushi.
"Bigger than Hackenschmidt. Bigger than Gotch. Bigger than Thesz. Bigger than Flair. Bigger than Hogan. Bigger than Moxley…Bigger than Ibushi."

Kenny Omega did talk over Callis here. Whether that was unintentional or a purposeful act to cover up old feelings for his partner remains to be seen.
Omega has been calling himself a belt collector in recent months. He currently holds the AEW World Championship and the AAA Mega Championship and will be challenging for the IMPACT World Championship at Rebellion.
Kota Ibushi is the current IWGP World Heavyweight Champion as well. With a relationship between AEW and New Japan in place, it seems like only a matter of time before Omega tries to add Ibushi’s title to his collection.
