While Donald Trump is incredibly busy right now, with US Presidential election taking place today, it is believed that the WWE Hall of Famer will be appearing on WWE TV in the not too distant future.
Lavie Margolin, who is the author of the ‘TrumpMania: Vince McMahon, WWE and the Making of America’s 45th President’ book recently sat down for an interview with Wrestling Inc.
Margolin noted if Trump wins the election, he’ll be doing more public appearances like appearing on WWE TV. He also noted that if Joe Biden wins, Trump will want to remain in the public eye, so a WWE TV appearance is also likely:
“If he is elected, I think everything is out the window. He’ll do more of what he wants, and then, if he’s not re-elected and doesn’t continue on, which aren’t necessarily connected elements, he’ll want to be back in the public eye. And that’s one of the first places that will embrace him, and there’s, from what I’ve read or heard, $450 million of debt to pay down. So whatever you can do, that’s certainly a good way to make a couple million.”
While an appearance from Donald Trump on WWE TV would likely be met with strong criticism from a portion of WWE’s audience, it would undeniably result in a boost to the ratings.
This comes after Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer a few weeks ago that Linda McMahon has donated just shy of $5million to Donald Trump’s campaign, and around $1.5million to other Republican candidates.
