WWE Games
Downstait have now commented on issues with Cody Rhodes’ entrance theme in the WWE 2K23 videogame.
Cody Rhodes ‘Kingdom’ entrance music is one of the most popular WWE themes currently used.
Despite its popularity, fans cannot play the music through the jukebox to listen to on the menu, and cannot assign the music to any wrestler other than Rhodes for entrances.
On Twitter, a fan asked Downstait about these issues. The official account of the band replied indicating that they’d be okay with talking to 2K or WWE Games about rectifying the situation.
Downstait tweeted:
No talks yet. If @2K or @WWEgames needs us to sign anything to make it happen, we’ll totally do that.
And, you know, continued use. Next year’s game will be here before you know it. So let’s get that out of the way too.
Rhodes started to use Kingdom as his entrance music after leaving WWE in 2016, before bringing it with him when he returned to the company in April 2022.
The band previously confirmed that they made the song specifically for Rhodes’ entrance.
Downstait also recently revealed that they included a fun homage to Rhodes’ previous walk-out music in Kingdom, which you can read more about right here.
