At AEW All Out earlier this year, The Young Bucks and Lucha Brothers arguably put on the best tag team match of the year with their ladder match for the AAA World Tag Team Championships.
Since then, The Young Bucks have been feuding with Santana and Ortiz on Dynamite, with the two teams clashing at Full Gear.
At the pay-per-view, the Lucha Brothers were part of a triple threat AEW World Tag Team Championship match with SCU and Private Party.
Although the two teams are no longer feuding, AEW has announced that Rey Fenix is set to go one-on-one with Nick Jackson on next week’s episode of AEW: Dynamite on TNT.
While Fenix and Pentagon are established singles stars, it is very rare to see either of The Young Bucks compete in singles action. It will be interesting to see how Nick Jackson copes without his brother on Wednesday night.
If the Lucha Brothers vs. Young Bucks match is anything to go by, then a Nick Jackson vs. Rey Fenix match this week is likely going to be something very special.
This is not the only awesome match booked for next week’s show. On Dynamite this week, Darby Allin accepted Jon Moxley’s open challenge. The pair will also square off next week.
