WWE has announced that WWE Champion Drew McIntyre has tested positive for COVID-19. The company did not provide any details other than the fact that he has been placed in quarantine.
WWE made the announcement on their website earlier today. Their official statement was short and concise with no additional details.
“Drew McIntyre has tested positive for COVID-19 and has been placed in quarantine.”
If McIntyre and WWE found out this information today and he has begun his 14-day quarantine, that would put his expected recovery date at January 25. This would be six days before he is scheduled to defend the WWE Championship against Goldberg at the Royal Rumble.
Obviously, storylines and wrestling are not as important as McIntyre’s health and all of us here at WrestleTalk wish him a very speedy recovery.
