Drew McIntyre Pinned For First Time As Ziggler Turns Face

WWE’s consistent need to destroy records for no reason has continued as Drew McIntyre lost to a newly babyface Dolph Ziggler on Raw.

On a night that General Manager Elect Baron Corbin announced was “Drew McIntyre Appreciation Night”, McIntyre was interrupted in his “I’m better than everyone” speech by Dolph Ziggler who questioned why McIntyre seemed to have forgotten the team they once had.

This lead to a scuffle, and then a match between the two, which Ziggler inexplicably won after Finn Balor, Drew’s TLC opponent, interrupted and attacked McIntyre on the outside.

Not only is this a pointless loss for McIntyre, but it makes him look like a complete moron. He could have won that match easily, and yet he was so easily distracted that he was pinned for the first time in over a year.

It makes zero storyline sense, and feels like an utterly impulsive move by the writers that makes no sense whatsoever.

It seems as though Dolph Ziggler is now a face, so we can look forward to about 64 matches between Dolph and Drew once TLC is in the past.
