Drew McIntyre Comments On Potential Tyson Fury Match After Clash At The Castle WWE

Drew McIntyre and Tyson Fury have been exchanging words with each other for years now, with the two of them seeming to tease a potential match against each other.

Fury made his return to WWE television at the Clash at the Castle show in Cardiff on Saturday night, sitting at ringside for the huge Drew McIntyre vs Roman Reigns Undisputed WWE Universal Championship match.

Fury got involved by knocking out Mr Money In The Bank Austin Theory as he attempted to cash-in, before he got in the ring with Roman Reigns after the match.

Fury then helped McIntyre to his feet, before the two of them began singing American Pie, a closing shot that has been polarising among the WWE fans.

Despite McIntyre and Fury ending Clash at the Castle on good terms has not stopped McIntyre wanting the match with the ‘Gypsy King’, as he spoke about the match to Ariel Helwani of BT Sport.

He said:

“We had a chat earlier today, and had a bit of laugh about the banter, but I still said to him ‘If the time is right, you never know. We can get in that ring.’ It doesn’t matter if we’re having a laugh right now. When it comes time for a big fight that’s going to get eyeballs, I want that big fight. I saw him shake hands with Roman as I was in the corner, dejected, and feeling it after that third spear. The crowd were not happy about it, and I wasn’t convinced that he wasn’t going to deck me, and then suddenly he starts singing.”

McIntyre made a special entrance on the show using his old ‘Broken Dreams’ theme song, and he has since spoken about what that moment meant to him.
