A top WWE star has pushed for a cinematic match against The Undertaker.
Following his Boneyard match against AJ Styles and his Final Farewell at Survivor Series 2020, The Undertaker finally put a close on his thirty year WWE career.
Taker was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2022 last year, but this hasn’t stopped current WWE stars from wanting to share the ring with The Deadman.
Speaking with Alex McCarthy for Inside The Ropes’ “Break It Down,” Drew McIntyre was asked about The Undertaker recently stating that Sheamus and McIntyre were two stars who have bugged him the most about wrestling again.
Noting that he was up to do a cinematic match with “The Deadman,” McIntyre said:
“It’s awesome that Taker said that because I’ve harassed him for many many years. Especially when I was younger and he was put in charge of me as my mentor and I drove him crazy with questions as the years passed and I went away from the company and came back.”
“I grew up a lot, we became peers, talking on the same level. It’s cool now, I can send him a text.”
“Come on mate, you can do it. We’ll do one of these cinematic matches if you want, but I know you could do it if you wanted to.”
Drew McIntyre will face Sheamus and Gunther in a triple threat match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 39 Night 2 on Sunday, April 2.
