Drew McIntyre Reacts To CM Punk Slam On WWE NXT WWE

CM Punk appeared on the September 17 episode of WWE NXT coming face-to-face with Roxanne Perez and Drew McIntyre has reacted.

With WWE NXT heading to the CW Network on October 1, Punk has been revealed as the special guest referee for Ethan Page’s defense of the NXT Championship against Trick Williams.

It wasn’t all smooth sailing for the main roster star, however, as he came face-to-face with NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez.

Perez has previously shared her relationship with CM Punk, including the advice he gave her about social media use.

Things have changed over the past few months, however, with Perez being much less enamored by Punk and last night’s WWE NXT saw more of that.

With Perez and Punk in the ring together, the NXT Women’s Champion shared her thoughts about Punk directly to his face, saying:

“I just wanted to tell you that I… I should have been a Drew McIntyre fan.

“I know why you’re here, I know exactly why you want to show up at Chicago

“And, that’s because you want one last moment of glory before Drew ends your career at Hell in a Cell.

“But, you know, just stay home, Punk, just stay home with Larry because I don’t want you there. I don’t need you there.

“Yeah, maybe everybody else wants CM Punk there, but I don’t, because when I beat Giulia, Chicago isn’t going to be your town anymore, it’s going to be mine.”

The clip, shared by the WWE Twitter account, has now been seen over 524,000 times at the time of writing with one person taking not being Drew McIntyre.

Reacting to Perez’s barbed comments about CM Punk and his future after WWE Bad Blood, McIntyre tweeted:

“None of this ‘you’re my wrestling daughter’ bs 💩

“Only freaks do that.

“I’m just very proud of you @roxanne_wwe”

Perez would see the tweet and react to McIntyre’s tweet of praise with a 🤝🏼emoji.

McIntyre and Punk face each other in a Hell in a Cell match at WWE Bad Blood on October 5 with talk of that match being the PLE’s main event.
