Drew McIntyre Reveals Vince McMahon’s Reaction To Him Winning The WWE Title

Drew McIntyre finally reached the mountaintop at WrestleMania, defeating Brock Lesnar and becoming WWE Champion. Circumstances were not ideal as there was no audience but McIntyre had made it.

Now, McIntyre has revealed what Vince McMahon’s reaction was following WrestleMania. In an interview with Sportskeeda, McIntyre said that Vince and Triple H were both happy and proud for him. Here is the full quote:

“The backstage reaction was non-existent because of the setup there was nobody back there initially. So, it was kind of weird. But you know when I got to Mr. McMahon and Triple H and obviously, we had such minimal personnel there, the people who were there especially, the crew people who have watched me grow up, you know everybody was very happy and very proud. I think for Vince and Hunter themselves, they were just very happy to see that I have finally kind of grown up and realized the potential they had seen in me all those years ago,”

McIntyre defeated Lesnar in the main event then immediately defended the title against Big Show. That match was aired on Raw. Now, weeks later, he is set to defend the championship against Seth Rollins at Money in the Bank.
