Drew McIntyre Takes Shot At CM Punk After WWE Championship Win WWE

Drew McIntyre has seemingly taken a shot at CM Punk after his Undisputed WWE Championship win on Friday, January 9.

Following his Undisputed WWE Championship win on SmackDown in Berlin on Friday, Drew McIntyre spent his Saturday returning home to Scotland for WWE’s live event at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow.

Marking not only his first WWE appearance since winning his fourth world title, but also his first-ever WWE appearance in Scotland as a world champion, McIntyre spoke passionately to his home fans after his win over Shinsuke Nakamura.

With McIntyre lapping up his position as WWE’s top star, the “Scottish Warrior” has taken the opportunity to have a dig at former rival and WWE’s other World Champion CM Punk.

Taking to Twitter, McIntyre shared an image of himself in his ring gear whilst wearing the Undisputed WWE Title from the Glasgow event, along with the caption:

No t-shirt needed. This is what a real Champion looks like.

CM Punk recently drew some criticism from WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash for wrestling in a t-shirt on the December 22 episode of Raw, something the “Best in the World” seemingly responded to by removing his shirt during a live event match with Bronson Reed, only to be wearing a second shirt underneath.

Punk later denied this was a shot at Nash during an appearance on Sam Roberts’ Show however, instead saying he did it just to make Bronson Reed laugh.

As well as McIntyre’s homecoming appearance, CM Punk also competed at WWE’s event in Glasgow, defeating Bronson Reed in the show’s closing contest.
