Drew McIntyre Shares Thoughts On Joe Hendry’s WWE Success WWE

Drew McIntyre has shared his thoughts on the WWE success of his compatriot Joe Hendry amid the ongoing NXT and TNA Wrestling partnership.

Ever since first showing up in WWE NXT back in June, Joe Hendry has been a sensation for the company – breaking social media records and headlining the company’s recent NXT No Mercy Premium Live Event – the first TNA contracted wrestler to ever do so.

While many fans may have not been familiar with Hendry prior to his WWE appearances the Scotsman has been plying his trade for over a decade, making his name initially in Glasgow’s Insane Championship Wrestling.

Whilst competing in the UK, Hendry faced off with Drew McIntyre on several occasions, and in a recent appearance on Insight with Chris Van Vliet McIntyre was asked for his thoughts on his old foes recent success.

McIntyre said:

“He’s killing it. To a lot of people he’s this overnight sensation, he’s not an overnight sensation he’s been working hard, paying his dues, he’s been perfecting his schtick that we’re all seeing right now.

“He’s always had that entertainment aspect but he’s come so far in the ring as well, he’s put it all together.”

Following his loss to NXT Champion Ethan Page at No Mercy it remains to be seen what Hendry’s future in WWE looks like.

As for McIntyre, he looks set to continue his feud with CM Punk despite the Best in the World’s attempts to move past him following WWE Bash in Berlin – with McIntyre brutally attacking Punk on this week’s Raw.
