Drew McIntyre Wants Match With Kazuchika Okada

Drew McIntyre has been WWE’s top guy on Raw for over a year but now he has his sights set on Kazuchika Okada.

McIntyre put out a tweet last month hyping up his match with Kofi Kingston while also making an acronym of OKADA.

This was when reports of a possible working relationship between WWE and New Japan Pro Wrestling were circulating. While those reports have since died down, McIntyre has not forgotten about Okada.

Speaking with Sportskeeda, McIntyre said that you should never say never regarding the match. He also said he would love to face Okada if it was possible. He said:

“I mean I’m not going to say that we’re never going to see it ever. But I will say that I like to have fun. And I like to play out to things online. So, if you notice anything weird about something I say or something I do, there’s generally a reason behind it as you noticed. But that’s a match I’d love to have if it ever is possible.

“As we’ve seen over the last few years, with all the different companies in the world and people working together, WWE is always open for business if it’s the right situation. If it makes sense for business, that would be the match I would love.”

Drew McIntyre is scheduled to challenge Bobby Lashley for the WWE Championship at Hell in a Cell.

Kazuchika Okada recently challenged for the vacant IWGP World Heavyweight Championship, losing to new champion Shingo Takagi at Dominion.
