An update has emerged on Drew McIntyre’s status following an injury scare at the Backlash Premium Live Event.
McIntyre competed in a four-way match for the US Championship, facing off against LA Knight, Damian Priest and champion Jacob Fatu.
There was some concern online for McIntyre following the match, with the Scottish Warrior taking a South of Heaven chokeslam from Damian Priest through a pair of tables after brawling in the crowd, and not being a factor in the remainder of the match.
With some believing that McIntyre’s head hit the floor during this spot, Triple H addressed injury concerns during the post-show press conference.
The WWE CCO noted that everyone left this match relatively healthy. Commenting on Drew McIntyre’s status, Triple H stated that Drew McIntyre was “a little banged up but totally fine” after the match.
He also indicated that Damian Priest had a tooth knocked loose, noting that Priest has a tooth he’s hoping will stay inside his head and get solid again.
The closing moments of this match saw Jeff Cobb make his WWE debut, aligning with Solo Sikoa and attacking LA Knight.
