Drew McIntyre Roasts WWE Star For Reaction To John Cena Retirement

Drew McIntyre has roasted a fellow WWE star following their reaction to John Cena’s retirement this past weekend.

Cena retired at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13, losing the final match of his in-ring career to GUNTHER.

Post-match, members of the WWE roster came to the ring to pay tribute to Cena, with CM Punk and Cody Rhodes presenting their respective titles to the retired star.

The official WWE Twitter account shared footage of Cody Rhodes at ringside, taking a moment to absorb what had just happened, with Cena’s footwear and bands in the foreground, in a post with a poignant message reading:

“Still can’t believe it’s over 😭”

Drew McIntyre would repost the footage, along with a more charged message of his own, aimed directly at Rhodes, tweeting:

“Is there a camera rolling? Yeah? Okay just stay on me here.”

McIntyre interfered in Rhodes’ match at Saturday Night’s Main Event, leading Oba Femi to push the Scottish star to the mat.

Tensions have been on show between Rhodes and McIntyre over the past weeks, with the WWE Champion recently engaging in a brawl at his foe’s house.

Femi has been left less than impressed with McIntyre, too, who would go on to send a warning to older members of the WWE roster.
