An update has emerged on Drew McIntyre’s WWE WrestleMania 41 status, following McIntyre sharing a graphic injury photo.
The saying “out of the frying pan, into the fire” must resonate with Drew McIntyre, who confirmed on Friday’s (April 11) SmackDown episode that he had been cleared to compete at WrestleMania 41 after getting glass in his eye in a segment on a previous show.
With McIntyre and Damian Priest set to meet in a Sin City Street Fight, the duo engaged in a brawl which left a bloody McIntyre standing tall.
Following the show, McIntyre shared a graphic photo of a laceration on his head which resulted in the aforementioned blood, which you can view below, or at this link.
With this image sparking concern within the fanbase, Mike Johnson of PWInsider has provided an update, noting that there has been no talk of cut preventing McIntyre from performing at WrestleMania 41, indicating that the match is still scheduled to go ahead.
McIntyre captioned his post “some old wounds never truly heal”, hinting that this was a previous cut which had been opened up.
McIntyre notably suffered a big head wound during his Hell in a Cell match against CM Punk at WWE Bad Blood 2024.
He reportedly required 16 staples to close the wound, and was out of action for two months following the Hell in a Cell match.
