# Dustin Rhodes AEW Injury Update

AEW star and former TNT Champion Dustin Rhodes has provided the latest update on his surgery and recovery.

Rhodes recently underwent double knee replacement surgery, his last match at the end of July seeing him drop the TNT Title to Kyle Fletcher just 19 days after winning it at AEW All In Texas.

Sharing a new update on social media, Rhodes said his knees are still in pain but are getting better each day, and he’s planning to be “better than ever” when he returns to the ring.

He wrote:

*Update: Knees are still in pain but getting better by the day. Tough month. All in all, Rehab is going well and pushing through.*

*Long way to go but positive I will be better than ever when I return.*

*Why, grit, work ethic, passion and love for wrestling.*

*Don’t tell @RealBillyGunn, but I am the best over 55 ever!!!!! 😘*

We continue to wish Dustin Rhodes all the best as he continues his recovery.

Rhodes signed a six-year contract extension with [AEW](https://wrestletalk.com/topic/aew/) last year that will see him with the company into 2030, meaning he’ll have been in the business for six different decades.
