Dusty Classic Winners Crowned At NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day

The winners of the 2021 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic winners were crowned in the tournament finals at NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day.

The opening match of the show was the women’s final which saw Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez defeat Ember Moon and Shotzi Blackheart in a very good match.

Kai and Gonzalez had beaten Aliyah and Jessi Kamea in the quarter-final, and Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter in the semi-final.

As a result of the win, Kai and Gonzalez now have a WWE Women’s Tag Team Title shot. The title is currently held by Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler.

In the men’s final, MSK beat the Grizzled Young Veterans in another great match and a real feel-good moment with the underdog babyfaces coming out on top against the odds.

MSK had beaten Isaiah Scott and Jake Atlas in the last 16, Drake Maverick and Killian Dain in the quarter-final, and Joaquin Wilde and Raul Mendoza in the semi-final.

As a result of the win, MSK will have an NXT Tag Title shot against champions Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan.
