It was recently revealed that EC3 had been pulled from Ring of Honor’s Final Battle pay per view. While at the time we did not know whether he had simply been in contact with someone who was infected or not, we now know that he had tested positive himself.
Speaking with Chris Van Vliet, EC3 revealed he has the virus and is at the tail end of it. He mentioned that Ring of Honor has caught it and he was pulled from his match with Jay Briscoe. Here is the quote:
“Are you talking about the rasp in my voice, perhaps? Are you alluding that I may be under the weather and the reason my hair is so long and my beard is so misshapen is because I may have been in quarantine for a week to ten days? Yeah, at this point, I have COVID. I’m at the tail end of it and it sucked a little bit, some of it wasn’t bad. I’m healthy so I was fortunate. I infected my parents who were visiting me. Whoops. So they had to stay longer. So I’ve had no alone time, no solitude, which drove me nuts but besides that, we had actually a great time spending time together. I’m healthy, I’m at the tail end of it but Ring of Honor caught it with the protocol they are testing,”
EC3 has worked for Impact Wrestling and ROH since being released by WWE earlier this year. His match with Jay Briscoe was set to be a grudge match.
