After being released by WWE, EC3 and Adam Scherr (formerly known as Braun Strowman) have forged a path of their own: creating the wrestling promotion, Control Your Narrative.

With the announcement of their new wrestling promotion, Control Your Narrative, EC3 is speaking out about what he is looking for when signing talent to the promotion and it isn’t what you might expect.

Speaking to The Ringer’s MackMania Podcast about what he is looking for, EC3 said:

“The big thing I’m looking for is talent that wants to create and be something different and kind of think outside of the wrestling bubble, but still understands that we’re in it and the basics of psychology and character development and how to make it work in 2022. What I’m looking for in new people is to engage me in their stories because I’m getting blown up non-stop and some people I know and some people I don’t, they’re sending me their YouTube videos and their matches and I’m like…you can do the moves, cool and they look alright, cool but I’m not going to know until I see you, be with you and talk to you, what you want out of this.

“I discover a lot of talents when going to independent wrestling shows, I’ll do seminars and it’s like ‘here’s how you wrestle…’ I kind of break them down as a performer and then as a person and then I do different things and those that stand out, those are always the first people that I’ll invite. So, discovering new people would be by doing these seminars and from going show-to-show live and each time that I’m on the road, I’m gonna have a seminar and they come by and you might be with us, you might not but you’re going to get something out of it.”

Scherr and EC3 have recently announced that Control Your Narrative has upcoming live events and is on the verge of signing a television deal to bring their brand of professional wrestling to the masses in a weekly televised format.
