AEW star Eddie Kingston doesn’t seem interested in the company’s tie-in with Warner Bros Discovery for “Shark Week”.
All Elite Wrestling and their television partner Warner Bros Discovery will have a bit of crossover this week with “Shark Week”.
The popular week-long bit of programming on Discovery channel will be featured on its sister network of TBS with AEW Dynamite having a “Barbwire Everywhere Death Match” as Eddie Kingston will face Chris Jericho with the Jericho Appreciation Society hung high above the ring in a shark cage.
Speaking with TV Insider, Kingston made it clear that he isn’t concerned with Shark Week and is only worried about getting his hands on Jericho.
He said:
“I don’t give a f*ck about Shark Week. I just wanted to fight Jericho, and whatever the company needs to do to have, what is that word, synergy, I’m all for it. I don’t care if it’s a shark cage or a dog cage. I just want to fight Jericho and throw him through barbed wire.”
This encounter will be the blow off of the Jericho vs. Kingston rivalry that started in February and will be their second singles bout since Revolution 2022 in March.
The Wednesday, July 20 Dynamite will be their Fyter Fest Night 3 special.
The “Barbwire Everywhere Death Match” will join AEW Interim World Champion Jon Moxley and ROH Pure Champion Wheeler Yuta vs. Best Friends, Brody King vs. Darby Allin and a tag team bout of Christian Cage and Luchasaurus vs. Varsity Blonds.
