AEW’s Eddie Kingston Addresses ‘Ill Will’ Towards Gabe Kidd After Injury AEW

Eddie Kingston has shared his honest thoughts on Gabe Kidd, following their match, which saw the AEW star suffer a serious leg injury.

Kingston and Kidd faced off in a No Rope Last Man Standing match at NJPW STRONG Resurgence in May of last year.

The match would see Kingston lose the NJPW Strong Openweight Championship and sustain a torn ACL, torn meniscus and fractured tibia that would sideline line him until this year’s AEW All Out in September.

During a recent episode of Close Up With Renee Paquette, Kingston reflected on Gabe Kidd, revealing he bears “no ill will” for the injury but didn’t like the NJPW star to begin with, saying:

“I don’t like Gabe to begin with. So that just added more to it. I’m not mad that he injured me because I would have done it to him, what do you think I was trying to do in that match? This is not ballet, folks.

“I don’t like Gabe anyway, so it just adds more fuel to the fire…

“…So no, I have no ill will for the injury, I have ill will because I think he’s a piece of s**t person and I wanna f**k him up for it, but other than that no.”

During the interview, Kingston would also reveal he had come close to quitting AEW multiple times.

This year, Kidd has been seen alongside members of Death Riders, most recently teaming with Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli & The Young Bucks at AEW Forbidden Door in the Lights Out Steel Cage match, losing to Will Ospreay, Horoshi Tanahashi, Darby Allin & Golden Lovers (Kenny Omega & Kota Ibushi).

The Bullet Club War Dogs member recently lost the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship back to Yota Tsuji, ending his 120-day reign.
