Eddie Kingston and Konosuke Takeshita had a wildly fun match on AEW Rampage; later on Twitter, Tony Khan teases more in store for Takeshita.
Eddie Kingston won via pinfall after a hard fought battle by which he essentially fell on top of Takeshita with Excalibur reporting after the victory that if Kingston hadn’t fallen on top of Takeshita, it would have easily been a double knockout as both men were out.
In a very exciting additional prospect, after the airing of the previously taped episode of AEW Rampage, Takeshita tweeted a message of admiration for Eddie Kingston, writing:
“Thank you @MadKing1981 and respect you. I understand your style, you understand my style. I feel it means a lot that our match was realized in the AEW’s ring. I devote myself to All Elite Wrestling and big fans.”
And then in the replies, comes Tony Khan writing back to Takeshita:
“Thank you both for a classic match tonight on #AEWRampage on
@TNTdrama!Eddie feels after this hard battle he has earned the right to now focus on his war with @IAmJericho
For you, Mr. Takeshita sir, I expect many great things in the future. See you Wednesday. Big domo to you.”
See you Wednesday, eh?
We shall patiently await to see what we can expect from Konosuke Takeshita on Wednesday!
