Former NXT star Eddy Thorpe has broken his silence following his release from WWE on Friday, May 2.
On Friday several stars were released by WWE across both the main roster and NXT, with further departures being confirmed on Saturday.
Among the names released on Friday was NXT’s Eddy Thorpe – who aside from a gif posted to Twitter in the wake of the news, had not commented publicly on his WWE exit.
That changed today as Thorpe has taken to to Twitter to thank WWE for his tenure in the company.
Thorpe wrote:
We move forward without fear.
Thank you @WWENXT @WWE
Hoka Hey
Also worth noting is that Thorpe changed his Twitter handle back to his real name – Karl Fredericks – which he used throughout his wrestling career before joining WWE in 2023, so it seems likely that he will be using this name once again once he’s free to return to action.
Also released from WWE on Friday was Thorpe’s real-life girlfriend Dakota Kai – to find out what she had to say in regards to her release on social media follow this link here.
We move forward without fear. Thank you @WWENXT @WWE
