In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer spoke about the amount of creative control that some of the more experienced members of the WWE roster have over their characters and storylines.
Meltzer notes that Edge and Daniel Bryan have a great deal of influence over the characters and storylines on Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown respectively, even adding that they were part of the writing teams now:
“Edge on Raw and Daniel Bryan on SmackDown both have significant creative influence. The term I was given is they were part of the writing teams of the respective shows right now.”
It is likely that Daniel Bryan Bryan and Edge are just involved in the writing and decision making that involves them and their respective storylines, however, Meltzer does not specify that in his report.
There is no word on how long Edge and Bryan have had the creative freedom over their characters on their respective brands. For any potential updates, stay tuned to WrestleTalk.com.
Speaking of Edge, the current plans that WWE has for the Rated-R Superstar at WrestleMania 37 in 2021 have been revealed. You can read more about that by clicking here.
