Edge Makes History At WWE Royal Rumble

Last night at the WWE Royal Rumble, Edge made history by becoming the first person to win the Royal Rumble match after receiving their induction into the WWE Hall of Fame.

The Rated-R Superstar was inducted into the Hall of Fame back in 2012, a year after being forced into early retirement. However, he returned to the ring for the first time in nine years at last year’s Royal Rumble show.

Edge entered the Royal Rumble match at the number one spot last night, becoming the third person to win the match from that spot after Chris Benoit and fellow WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels.

Right now, it is unclear whether or not WWE is going to have Edge face Drew McIntyre or Roman Reigns at WrestleMania this year, providing both are still champions by the show. Things will likely become clearer on Raw tonight.

Bianca Belair also made history last night, becoming the first African American woman to win the women’s Royal Rumble match after last eliminating Rhea Ripley during the match on last night’s pay-per-view.
